The Boudoir Boutique

What to expect from your boudoir photo shoot.

First, we will just chat about what you are looking for. If you don't know, that's ok. We can shoot a variety of looks. I have found that taking even just a few minutes at the beginning of a photo shoot to talk with a client helps them warm up and allows the shoot to go more smoothly. Clients say it makes them feel more comfortable in front of the camera. We will go over the contract and I can answer any questions you may still have. Then I will shoot a few test shots to make sure everything is working as it should technically, and I will keep shooting from there. I like to shoot quickly while keeping the client engaged in conversation. I feel that the photos are more relaxed and natural that way. I don't have a preset limit on the number of frames that I shoot. We're done when we're done and when I feel I have accurately captured you at your best. After that I will take a few days to process all of the images and to choose the best ones to upload to your private gallery on my website. Your boudoir photo shoot will be a fun experience, I promise!

I finally had time to edit and process more pictures from Kristen's shoot. It takes a lot of time to get it done! I need to learn to streamline things and tone down the perfectionist in me. Does that sound bad? I hope not. I just mean that I need to learn when to say when. Or something like that. ;) Anyway, here are some of the photos:

First Photo Shoot!!!

I just had my first "official" boudoir photo shoot! Kristen was such a great sport even when I had some technical difficulties. Why does equipment seem to malfunction at the most inappropriate times? We made it work anyway and here are some of the shots:

Website update

So the website issues have been worked out. Apparently I was setup with the incorrect database. So all is working as it should now and we are in business! The portrait site is up and fully functional, but the boudoir site is still in-the-works.

Website

I just received my new website today. I have to admit, it's a little harder to use than I expected. I fancy myself to be a bit of a brain at some things, but putting this thing together has been a little frustrating! The colors don't work the way I envision them, and they keep flashing -- it's giving me a headache! I certainly don't want visitors to my site leaving with a headache. Hopefully I'll have this all figured out soon. :)

I have two photo shoots lined up next week. I can't wait to have some new images to upload to the site! And I'm looking forward to trying out some new lighting and looks. I'll get photos posted as soon as they're available!
