Backing up is hard to do!
Actually, it's not hard at all. But it sure does take a looooong time! I'm assuming that you have picked up by now that I'm talking about backing up my hard drive, and not, say, backing up my car, or a scooter, or a bike. Though, those can be hard to back up too. Back to my hard drive. I've been meaning to back it up for a long time. I finally got an external drive about a year ago which is where I store all my music and photos, BUT that is the only place those things lived. Until yesterday. I said enough is enough. I've had two hard drives crash on me in my life. Nothing too major was lost, and the last time it happened (April) my computer geek brother (and I mean that in a loving, endearing way - I swear!) was able to recover all of my files. Thank goodness (and Hector)! So, I hooked it up, ran the software, and waited. And waited. It took over 24 hours to back up the hard drive on my laptop as well as the other external drive. I was going a little nutty not having access to my laptop! I have a desktop, but it's ancient and I just do not have the patience. A couple hundred bucks and 24 hours later, and I have a little more peace of mind. Hooray!
